What you find inside the Easter Pop Up Card
The springtime festivals featured symbols of fertility, which carried over to Christian traditions surrounding Easter. Hence the bunnies and eggs are also considered natural fertility symbols. An array of beautiful Easter egg is laser-cut onto the front of this blue pop up card. Inside the egg, there is a pair of rabbits that are giving each other a lucky Easter egg through the festival. All are decorated in the natural space from elegant flowers and leaves.
Upon opening this design, a wicker basket appears on top of a blue tablecloth, ready for an Easter picnic. The basket is stuffed full with a pair of Easter bunnies and colorful Easter eggs. Purple bow tie on egg basket gives the feeling of a warm and sunny Spring day.
Inspiration for the Easter Pop Up Card
Easter is the most important feast day on the Christian calendar: a celebration centered around Jesus Christ rising from the dead. Easter is a celebration of our freedom in Christ. That freedom extends to the symbol of bunnies and eggs. Rabbits usually give birth to a big litter of babies (called kittens), so they became a symbol of new life. Legend has it that the Easter bunny lays, decorates and hides eggs as they are also a symbol of new life. This is why some children might enjoy Easter egg hunts as part of the festival.
